West Bengal State Seed Corporation Limited, a State Govt. Company was incorporated on the 13th November, 1980 with the key objective to carry on in West Bengal and in India the production of certified seeds of all kinds and varieties coming under the purview of the Seed Act, 1966 and quality seeds.
In order to achieve this, the Company organizes seed production programmes through seed growers and sponsored agencies, Agricultural Farms of State Govt. and SAUs across the State of West Bengal.
The management of the Company is vested in the Board of Directors who are nominated by the State Govt. The Chairman and Managing Director of the Company are also representatives of the Govt. of West Bengal.
West Bengal State Seeds Corporation Ltd., popularly known by its brand name "BENGAL SEEDS", is one of the leading State Seed Corporations in Eastern India serving the farming community with trust and quality.
